About

History

The concept of Men in Sheds started in Australia where men enjoyed their own sanctuary, a special place at the bottom of the garden and from that grew the Men’s Shed organization with about a thousand sheds in Australia and presently over four hundred and twenty six sheds in the UK.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to support older men from diverse backgrounds in maintaining their health and well being.
We are a non profit organization where we engage in charitable acts.
We will engage in a range of projects that benefit us and the community and its needs
We strive to be environmentally friendly by recycling discarded items.
The hand of friendship is outstretched to all in need.
Cheltenham & Gloucester Men in Sheds are very grateful for the financial support provided by The Barnwood House Trust under their Small Sparks Grant Scheme. Their ongoing support has helped to purchase much needed new equipment and tools for the team to continue the work that they do within the community.

Butterfly Garden Project

Chris Evans owner of Dundry Nurseries and the people of the Butterfly Garden Project have given us tremendous support and made us feel most welcome.

Supporting Community-based Organisations

The Men in Sheds Cheltenham are very happy to assist any community-based organisation that needs some physical assistance in their endeavours.
